can be applied to any area, in particular relationships, health and well-being. The coach is a facilitator for the process and not the content, intervenes in a neutral manner in a relationship: does not address but facilitates the client towards autonomously discovering their own solution and truth. For this reason, the results are definitive

What is Coaching

Coaching develops capabilities, resources and competences with the guidance of a professionally accredited coach. It spots the areas of growth potential and defines a programme aimed at achieving well-defined objectives, which can be professional, personal or sport.
In the United States, the role of Coach was born in the seventies in order to improve sport performances. The Coach would not only train the athletes but also support them from a psychological point of view and push them to face the competitors with drive and self-confidence.
From the nineties, coaching spread in companies and, later on, in individual, relational and health areas.
It is a personal development method which generates change in healthy people and should not, by any means, be confused with psychotherapy.
Coaching can be useful to anybody may want to achieve particularly ambitious objectives, through an independent learning process.

Measurement of Results


The duration and intensity of the programme depend on the objectives one wants to achieve. Generally, the number of sessions goes from a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 12, to be completed within 6/8 months.

Coaching allows results within a relatively short period, nevertheless, it is necessary to use the time between one session and another to allow the coachee to practise the new winning behaviours. The final objective is to make new habits natural so that the change will be sustainable and permament.

A good coach is the ideal sparring partner which takes his/her coachee to the targets which the coachee have set for themselves.

Anything can be measured, including change. Each coaching project must of course conclude with a measurement of the new level of performance, of results and changes obtained.
